Ogden Valley Sports was the first to develop the torsional spring conversion for the Diamond Drive, the rest just copied a good idea.
We needed better clutching for the turbo sleds the stock clutching was not up to the task, I could install a new belt, run it across the field and in four hundred feet take a new belt and make it garbage. The Diamond clutch was plagued with over shifting at slower speeds, poor back shift, not making full shift and hot belt temperature causing premature belt failure. By adding the torsional spring to the Diamond clutch we improved the the over shift and gained back shift, the way a clutch was meant to work, now we can get the clutch to make full shift with out sacrificing acceleration or back shift and lowering the temperature that the clutch operates at.

With this kit it gives you a wider range of tuning, using the torsion spring from the Arctic Cat clutch   you get wide range of springs to choose from, and you don't need a special helix that you can only get from one guy.

We use a threaded ring to hold the spring tension in the clutch the same was the factory does, not like others that only use three little 10-24 screws to hold all of the spring tension plus the torsional load, in the start the factory use six screws to hold the helix to the movable sheave and was breaking them, they went to nine to hold the tension, three is scary ?
